his aunt was a strict guardian, but she also allowed him to explore all that he wanted to. his uncle wasn't around much, too busy with work, and so it was just seonghwa and his aunt for most of his childhood. he was quite a sporty kid but eventually fell in love with the arts - dancing, singing, painting and sculpting.

it wasn't until he was in his late teens that his abilities began to manifest. he was able to communicate with dogs, and when he went on a camping trip and came across a wolf and a snake, he wasn't afraid at all, and was able to talk to them. he began to see people and beings who weren't physically present, and he was able to do things with his mind that no one else could.

and so his aunt finally told him about his mother, how she was a goddess, a witch. his aunt had thought her brother had gone insane when he first told her about it all, but after witnessing what seonghwa could do, she could no longer deny it.

for a long while, he didn't do much with his abilities, but he did practice them in his own time. and just as he entered university, he was scouted by a modelling agency and so his modelling career began. he finished university with a degree in business even as his modelling career grew and flourished.

and just as he hit his peak in his late twenties, he left it all behind to find himself.

and when he was claimed, crossed spectral torches appearing over his head in the middle of the night when he was mulling over everything about his life, he knew it was time. the sign that everything would change.

after moving to sunrise point, he took some of the money he had earned through his successful modelling career and took his degree and opened up a nightclub. the name? x-roads. a play on words in a way, a sort of homage to his mother. he's an active part of the club, there almost every night to make sure it remains safe for all of his employees and patrons.
