After the Andruss brothers had beaten up Junior, Rowdy came to him and hid with him until the night. Rowdy then snuck in, shaved off their eyebrows, and cut off their braids.

JR ran as far away to not hear the shot but didn't make it far enough.

They are unable to do anything because they are poor, so Junior has to watch his dog have continuous seizures, and think about how his dog is slowly dying.
