The Articles of Confederation created a national government consisting of a Congress, having the ultimate power to declare war, appoint military, appoint military offices, sign treaties, make alliances, appoint foreign ambassadors, and control relations with Indians.

Legislative Branch A

All legislative is to be held within Congress of the U.S., containing a Senate and the House of Representatives.

It holds the House of Representatives, the Senate, elections, powers and duties of Congress, rights and disabilities of members, the legislative process, powers of Congress, and powers denied to Congress, powers denied to the state.

Executive Branch B

Contains elections with the elector being expected to meet in respect for their state, voting via ballot for two individuals. Only one individual and showing respect towards their country by making an allowable and respected vote.

Judicial Branch C

Consists of controversies between two or more states; is shared between a state and citizens of another state; shared between citizens of the same state stake-holding lands under grants of different states; and is between a state or the citizens of that state, foreign states, citizens, or subjects. The Judicial Branch decides the constitutionality of federal laws and resolutions over disputes concerning federal laws.

States that all citizens should be given equal rights and privileges as those of other states(equality), implicitly applying that law.

Amendment Process E

Amendment should be proposed to the Constitution if two-thirds of the house(Congress) deem it necessary. The amendment process makes the constitution more statutory law, making it less permanent. The amendment process was created to be understandable -- not too difficult.

Debts, Supremacy, Oaths, & Religious Tests

All Debts and Engagements looked into, that is, before the constitution existed, shall be as valid and truthful against the U.S. under the constitution as under the laws of confederation. Ultimately, article VI makes sure that nation's debts are honored, establishes the constitution as the supreme law, and shuns religious tests for office.

Ratification of the Constitution

Article VII declares that the constitution is allowed to ratify the states when nine of them ratified the document. Constitutional ratification were held within each one of the thirteen states, with nine of them requiring ratification to make us, the United States of America, a nation.
