The use of electronic devices may result in students being very distracted from their school work. Many possess smartphones, which they keep by their side almost the entire day. This results in divided attention which affects students’ focus in class. This is especially so when the use of a smart phone is boundless, from social media apps, to chat groups and music apps. Thus the sheer presence of electronic devices can interfere with student learning.
