Jack White by Mr. Collins

Jack White is an artist who inspires me with the journey he has taken throughout his career. He began with working in an upholstery shop while performing and recording demos in Detroit. He grew to prominence with his band The White Stripes. From there he has performed and recorded with new bands like the Dead Weather, The Raconteurs (my favorite), and very successful solo career. He has also launched his own record label, Third Man Records, which runs a vinyl record plant in his home town of Detroit, helping to bring life back to the community and the vinyl record industry. He continues to grow as an artist and inspires me to not get comfortable with what I am doing in my classroom.

Froggy Fresh: By John Delafosse

Froggy Fresh is an artist who has inspired me with his content to always improve. All his songs tell a beautiful emotional adventure that could go on forever. Especially in his courageous battle against big blue. Froggy was born in 1990 and was always the baddest of them all, if you weren't about money than Froggy didn't mess with y'all. That's why Froggy left the house at the age of 3 to pursue his musical career. He had already accumulated millions of dollars and over 100 houses and guitars by the age of 7 he used these to create his musical empire of mid street performers to make passive income. After creating the Fresh Empire, Froggy has flourished and always will.

The Greatest Show Unearthed by Creature Feature

Creature Feature is a group that is very creative with it's music. This is one of their albums, and my favorite album. It has a story contained inside, and I can't stop listening to the story over and over again. They show an artistry and storytelling I wouldn't expect in music, with a mix of a particular musical flare that you wouldn't expect. They have a specific style you won't find anywhere else I've seen. It inspires me with it's artistry and is a big inspiration when I think about how I want to build a world, and story, it is really meaningful to me to study how they did it through story.

I believe PlayBoi Carti perfectly symbolizes hip-hop and rap within the age of social media.racks are void of any violent, intense verses or hidden meanings about the truths of life. Instead, Carti’s music is about having fun with your friends, and the excitement you get when listening to new music. Whether Carti really does this purposefully or not, this is achieved through a very minimalist sound created by a flow of mostly mumbling. Often, aspects such as the pitch of Carti’s voice are altered to keep things sounding newonsidering the real priority is just to have fun. The real secret lies in Carti’s genius production,

Tally Hall is a band i found a while ago by accident but quickly became one of my favorites. Something about their music just scratches by brain in the best way. i could listen to their 2 albums on repeat for hours, and i actually used to do exactly that. I still listen to it but it's a shame they quit before they hit peak popularity. in 2011 the band went on hiatus and never returned. Just a few years later their music is enjoyed by millions and as far as i know they don't have any intention of getting back to it.

Mili - Mel

Mili is one of my favorite bands I've ever heard. Their sound is so unique, I doubt there is any other musician who could come close to the footprint their music leaves behind. I don't just say this because they're my favorite band - there are most definitely better musicians than them, or at the very least equals in other genres. But their music seems to be in a league all its own. Its as if it is its own genre. Beyond this, every one of their songs has a story and a message. The one I have linked tells the story of a young couple. The boy has been drafted into the military and sent off to fight. The song aims to convey the tragedy and immorality of war, and does it well. Another good example of this is Salt, Pepper, Birds, and the Thought Police, written for the game Library of Ruina. This song tells the story of Yun Dong-ju, a poet hailing from Korea who was taken to Japan during the Japanese colonial era, and was then subjected to human experiments. The upbeat tone of the song drastically contrasts the meaning - unless one really listens to the lyrics, the song is nothing more than a happy, jazzy tune. Mili inspires me every day to infuse my own writing with the same symbolism and meaning they put into their songs. I strive to be able to tell two stories at once, just as they do.

I listened to a ton of Led Zeppelin, Korn, Superheaven, Nirvana. and of course Mastodon. One of my favorite songs from them is 'Bedazzled Fingernails' so, i went to check out the music video of it.

After seeing this "Music Video" for the first time i was SO enlightened by clay motion and animation.
Joey Bada$$ by Carlos Bobadilla

Joey Bada$$ is an american rapper who grabs my attention by talking about world problems and unchanged issues that continue to bring dangers and corruptness to Brooklyn. In his music and interviews he states that he was oblivious to a lot of things like how he affected listeners with his pithy music. He wrote and produced music as attempt to tackle down police violence, discrimination and racism. He spoke with his voice and made a huge impact. Joey Bada$$ started with one song called "babylon" that was made after the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. He was fed up with all killings of black unarmed men from police officers showing up on the news and media. He thought he was responsible for doing something about it, so he spoke up and made a huge imprint of valor and courage for his people. He grabs my attention because of all the things he's done for his people through his music. He is someone plenty of people look up to including myself.

Bts is a 7 person boy group. As of 2022, BTS is the best-selling artist in South Korean history, having sold in excess of 30 million albums via the Circle Chart, and their studio album Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) is the best-selling album of all time in South Korea. BTS was formed in 2010, after Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si-hyuk wanted to form a hip hop group around RM (Kim Namjoon), an underground rapper who was well known on the music scene in Seoul. BTS have cited Seo Taiji and Boys,[272] Nas, Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, Post Malone, Charlie Puth, and Danger as musical inspirations. BTS experimented with R&B, rock and jazz hip hop on Dark & Wild in 2014. Since their formation, BTS have believed that telling their own stories is the best way for the younger generation to relate to their music.
