Dalyan is a small town located in the southwest of Turkey, with a population of just under 6,000 people. It is home to the Dalyan Cayi river, which runs through the town and you can take a boat down the river and it soon leads to the Mediterranean sea.

There is lots of history in Dalyan, the most well known is the ancient tombs that are carved into the side of the cliff on the river side. They are so old that it is unknown where they specifically came from. Dalyan is also known for its large population of caretta turtles. On Iztuzu beach a British woman named 'captain June' lives there and created a turtle rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary.
