C. You are concerned about one of your students who always avoids sitting near thefront of the class.
This student seems to be paying attention, but rarely participatesactively in lessons. You are not sure why. Since you have a large class, it is difficult foryou to monitor individual students. You want to find out what this student's attitude is toward the class.

Inside a classroom there are students who are afraid to sit in the first chairs, but even with that insecurity they do it, this because they are aware that there is a high possibility that a teacher will ask them about the exposed topics and they feel very nervous when answer.
The student in class must show a positive attitude towards himself, that is why I consider that these students do not learn effectively, therefore this student is classified as shy.

2. Answer the Questions!

a. Which of the procedures discussed in that activity would be most appropriate for gathering information about the situation selected:Teaching journal, lesson reports, surveys and questionnaires, audio and video recording, or observation?

I believe that the most appropriate procedure to reach the student and obtain information about their behavior is through observation, it is essential that the teacher knows the context of each of them to provide solutions to these needs and to be able to build a teaching scenario learning, the teaching role should focus on encouraging the student to be more participatory in the activities, improving their attitude and making the students acquire an optical knowledge.

b. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the procedure you selected? Which of the issues in question 1 would be suitable for action research?

Advantage!

1) know the learning style of each one

2) knowing what your needs are allows us to make a diagnosis of your behavior

3). watch them when they are doing an individual or group activity and let them not realize it.

Disadvantages!
1) their teaching-learning process is slower.

2) The student behaves differently knowing that he is being watched.

Personally, the first question draws my attention because the topic is about observation and is the most appropriate for it because it describes feelings, emotions, events between bulls, having information about the teaching-learning process, therefore it is very valuable, through from this we can achieve the action research process that is needed.

I would like to work with b. You are very conscientious about planning your lessons, but somehow they never seem to go according to plan. You rarely have time to get through all the material that you had planned. You want to find out why this is happening. Answer the questions: a. Which of the procedures discussed in that activity would be most appropriate for gathering information about the situation selected: teaching journal, lesson reports, surveys and questionnaires, audio and video recording, or observation? I think that the best procedure is action research, because in the situation I could see that the teacher is thinking about the problems where he or she notices that the group is not having or giving all he or she is waiting for the lesson plans, with this procedure the teacher can stop and start to analyze what is going on into the situation, this procedure will bring the possible changes that the class is needing. b. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the procedure you selected? Which of the issues in question 1 would be suitable for action research? Advantage: 1.	It allows the group to talk about the situations.2.	It brings those changes that the whole group need. 3.	It gives the opportunity of having the best planning lessons for the next activities. Disadvantage: 1.	It gives troubles when the group is not clear about they are looking for. 2.	It does not allow one solution, giving different bias. 3.	It brings a gap between teachers and students when the results are not great.

Situation by nicolas gantiva

D. You have been teaching English to elementary students for several years, and colleagues point out that you have developed a special kind of "teacher's English." Which of the issues in question 1 would be suitable for action research?

Advantages: The evidence that can be collected occurs in real and irrefutable times.

The Observation that is carried out can be repeated as many times as necessary since the scenes can be reviewed at any time in the process.

These evidences are part of the required research, by evidencing different points of view of professionals in social, educational, psychological and philosophical issues, which helps the interdisciplinarity necessary to reach the integrality of education.

The procedure of observing, analyzing and recommending with the evidence registered and evaluated to the teacher, by a colleague or immediate boss. Since it may appear that he does not work naturally because he feels pressured to know that he is going to be evaluated. For us, it is recommended that the hidden recording be made, allowing it to happen spontaneously.

Not having access to technological tools such as a camcorder, a tape recorder, Android cell phone or iPhone, internet etc. Which does not `` allow us to collect this type of evidence, since there are institutions in rural areas that do not have them.

Which of the topics in question 1 would be suitable for action research?

The topics that seem appropriate to me are: surveys and questionnaires, audio and video recording or observation.
Situation e. You have been experimenting with a process approach for teaching writing (i.e., one in which you encourage students to go through a number of stages when completing a writing task, from planning to drafting to reviewing and revising). You want to find out if students actually find this approach useful and whether they use it on writing assignments outside of class.

The first thing to check is if the approach that I am using to encourage writing in my students is the right one for them, I cannot expect to wait for them to find it useful and use it outside of class if what I send them to write it is not in their interest. So the way to know this is by focusing these written tasks on topics that are of interest to them and that they can share with their social environment.

Each student is going to write an introduction paragraph about an issue that concerns a teacher about his or her classes or an issue the teacher would like to explore and learn more about and answer the following questions: Is it for the teacher’s own interest? Is it in order to resolve a problem that is common in the school? Is it a topic the teacher would like to present at a seminar or write about in a newsletter?

Observing the difficulty that the José Gregorio institution in the city of Valledupar-Colombia has if it does not have English teachers, students are not acquiring foreign language skills, because non-competent teachers are directing these classes.

Is it for the teacher's own interest?

I would think so, taking into account that professional ethics obliges to carry out an integral work towards students, and being a “fill-in” teacher does not guarantee the above, taking into account that they do not have the competencies to guide classes in the Foreign language.

Is it to solve a problem that is common in school?

Of course, this situation has been very negative for the community in general and the necessary teachers must be found to guide these classes.

Is it a topic that the teacher would like to present at a seminar or write in a newsletter?

Taking into account the problems that this situation has generated, I would consider it pertinent that a discussion is held with members of the educational community to find a prompt solution that helps mitigate this academic inconvenience.

By Jose Luis Lago
