The desired effect of reviewing content is "Students can recall and describe the previous content on which the new content is based."
Students need to review the content often to be sure they are retaining the information taught as well as being sure they can build on their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the content. Review can take place in many settings and look different depending on which strategy you feel works best in your classroom or with the subject/content you are teaching.

There are many different strategies to use when reviewing content with your students. Some that were listed were:
review games, review important vocabulary, having students teach review segments, reviewing learning goals often, and ask review questions that require a deeper answer.
When looking at these strategies, I often use review games in my classroom as well as reviewing the learning targets or standards the students are working towards.

Implement these strategies within your classroom based on your teaching style. I have implemented games into my classroom by using Jeopardy, Trivia, or escape rooms. To review the important vocabulary you can create a unit word wall and add vocabulary words that are important throughout the unit. This works well if you either teach one subject or can split up your word wall based on the subject. I also enjoy having students rally coach to teach their classmates and I start out a lesson with a deeper level question about yesterday's work. These are ways that I have implemented review in my classroom.

Reviewing through technology is a great way to allow the students to have something to study at home as well that they cannot loose. I enjoy playing Kahoot with my students. I also create google slides that allow the students to take daily notes on the question of the day to have a study guide at the end of the unit.
Another way is to create flashcards about important vocabulary on google slides for the students to study independently.
