Answer the following question on the impact on the walking gait with respect to the gluteal region and thigh.
A) which walking gait functions is this patient no longer able to perform?
B) Why are they able or unable to perform these functions? (in your response, discuss the relevant muscles, nerves, and spinal levels if appropriate)
C) Which walking gait functions are compromised?
D) Why are these functions compromised and not completely unavailable to the patient (in your response, discuss the relevant muscles, nerves, and spinal levels if appropriate)
ASNWER:
A) There are no completely non functional WG functions
B) Trunk extension: functional b/c of G Max (innervated by inferior gluteal nerve so not impacted) & HS pt of Add magnus (innervated by L2, L3, L4 of tibial so again not impacted)
Knee flexion: may or may not be occuring actively.
