         <description><![CDATA[<p>Adequate and proper blood sugar monitoring is integral to managing diabetes, both type 1 and type 2. Knowledge of the glucose levels measured can allow a patient to select an appropriate dose of insulin or implement dietary or other lifestyle changes to regulate their glucose levels(Nihaal et al.,2023). Over the past decade, there have been several advances in diabetes technology, such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, insulin delivery devices, and hybrid closed-loop systems (Satish et al.,2022). One of the latest in these technologies is Dexcom 7. A seventh-generation (G7) CGM (Dexcom) was designed to improve the performance and usability aspects of the G6 CGM.          <description><![CDATA[<p> According to this study of the accuracy of this device in managing blood glucose in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the G7 CGM described in this pivotal study was accurate and safe when inserted on either the upper arm or abdomen in adults with diabetes. In-clinic glucose manipulations and frequent blood glucose sampling confirmed accurate readings during euglycemia, hypoglycemia, and hyperglycemia (reflected as time in range [TIR], time below range [TBR], and time above range [TAR]), as well as during rapid glucose concentration change. Even at the highest rates of glucose concentration change, MARD values &lt;10% were observed for arm-placed sensors and &lt;10.5% for abdomen-placed sensors.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Living with diabetes brings significant complications, including vascular diseases like Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Cerebrovascular Accident, Chronic Renal Disease, retinopathy, and neuropathy. However, in addition to the known complications, new research works have implicated diabetes in many other diseases. According to Tomic et al. (2022), studies have demonstrated notable links between diabetes mellitus and a broad range of comorbidities, including cognitive decline, functional disability, affective disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, and liver disease, and have refined our understanding of the association between diabetes mellitus and infection. In line with a situation like this at hand, anyone living with diabetes needs to have adequate control of their blood sugar.</p><p><br></p><p>Innovations like Dexcom 7 allow individuals with diabetes to monitor their blood glucose levels in real-time. This helps them make informed decisions about when to eat, what to eat, and how different foods affect their blood sugar levels. As a result, it can reduce the need for insulin and other antidiabetic drugs, and help them find the most effective exercise regimen to manage their blood sugar. In my experience, I've observed that using a device like this can also help people with diabetes lose weight more easily, as they can track their blood sugar levels continuously.</p><p><br></p><p>With the increased availability of devices like Dexcom 7, we expect to see a reduction in diabetes complications and fewer hospital admissions for people with diabetes.</p>]]></description>
