These buildings can be rapidly deployed in the event of a disaster, providing shelter and  medical care facilities.  These prefabricated units can be transported, assembled and fully functional within a week (Hastings, 2018). The CEO, Ron Ben-Zeev states that these units have already proven to be vital in hurricanes Irma, Maria and Harvey (Hastings, 2018). MRUs are light weight units that are resistant to mold, fire and high winds (Hastings, 2018).  They are energy efficient by providing their own energy source via solar power (Hastings, 2018). They also provide their own communication and water sources making them self sufficient (Hastings, 2018). These medical clinics have telecommunication abilities that allow doctors to see patients remotely (Hastings, 2018). Once these facilities are no longer needed, they can be disassembled and taken back to World Housing
