It was an easy to read, feel good book, which was incredibly touching. The book was made in 2017 by the British author Phil Earle, whose books are well known in Britain. He also wrote books like “Demolition Dad” and “the bubble wrap boy”.
In mind the gap we meet the protagonist and his “best mate”, Mikey, whose father just died. The main character feels that Mikey has lost a piece of himself. Mikey had stopped caring about the rest of the world. Mikey's best mate then decides to go on a trip to try to find a memory of Mikey`s father, Vinny. Since he was an actor he thought of the task as easy, but it turned out to be way harder than expected. On his way back he hears a familiar voice in London`s underground, and hurries home just to find his best mate as beaten up as himself. He then convinces Mikey to join him to the platform, where Mikey bursts into tears as he hears his dead fathers voice.  
I found the book very fascinating, it was very clever and the author managed to put a lot of emotion, friendly love and harsh reality into such a little book. I would say though that the moment the whole book led up to was a bit short. I really enjoyed it. The book was an easy read and it delivered its message nicely. I especially liked the last chapter, it nearly made me cry. The author was precise with his words and the characters were really relatable. The book was dyslexia friendly and had few words on each page. I found the language very easy and concise. I would recommend this book to people who know how it feels to lose someone close. The protagonist was full of strength and searched for a solution. This book should be read by “tweens” or young teenagers.
