He isn’t too fond of taking tests, for he feels as if he's not prepared. His palms were sweaty and he had butterflies in his stomach. His math test begun.

He was looking at the walls, frantically. The room was cube shaped with institutional white walls and a couple windows.  Unsure whether or not he would get a good score. Roughly 10 minutes in, he was just staring at the screen, panicking. Distant in his memory, he remembered when his teacher talked about how to cope nervousness. He regained the memory and took her advice to take subtle breaths to calm down.

He felt a sense of relief. He was finally calm. However, he already wasted a small portion of his time. He decided to focus and try to finish the test to the best of his ability. By some miracle, he managed to finish his test which took a huge weight off his shoulder. This test was the hardest test he took 2018 but at the same time he also felt proud that he managed to finish it even through times of adversity and stress.

She went with her mom to visit her grandma. They went to Florida every summer. It was a tradition and a fun opportunity to get away from the city!

Anna and her mom were playing catch with a ball salty beach ocean. The ocean was full of kids swimming, seaweed, and other tiny fish. As she threw the ball to her mom, she saw out of the corner of her eye. It was something swimming in the water 20 feet in front of her. She saw a fin sticking out of the water. It was grey and pointy and looked like one of her biggest fear. She yelled, “AHHHH A SHARK!” She pointed to the direction of the animal. 

Her mom was startled and  looked that way. She could feel Anna’s perturbation. As her mom was watching the animal, Anna was sprinting out of the water. She ran towards where her grandma was tanning. She looked back to see her mom still there. She approached her mom and her mom said, “Sweetie, just look.” She pointed to the direction of the animal Anna thought was a shark. They both watched as the fin was popping in and out of the water. What Anna thought was a shark actually turned out to be a dolphin! Her heart stopped racing and she felt extremely relieved.

Tourists and visitors were coming from all parts of the country to visit ‘The Great Smoky Mountains’. A teenage visitor, Samiyah, was staying at hotel with her family. As planned, Samiyah and her cousins went on a hike. The hours of hike up the mountain exhausted her. The view was breathtaking with mountains and trees reaching out for miles and miles. Tired and hungry, they walked down the hiking trail, unprepared for what they were about to see. “CRUNCH” a baby black bear emerged from the trees and walked right in front of these kids. The bear walks around searching for food. The children's jaw are touching the floor. The kids felt euphoric as they took out their cell phones to record this moment. This amazing creature just a few feet away from them was more exciting than the view they just saw. It’s not something these children see everyday in their hometown Chicago. They were really excited to go there and they were also excited to see how it would look like and how it would be like.  It was great and they loved it there! They were even in a good mood when they woke up early because they loved being there and they loved that they were on vacation to this place. When they woke up they weren’t even tired to wake up early. And every morning their baba went out to the beach when the kids were still asleep. Every morning they would go and get breakfast together and after they got breakfast they all went to the beach together for a few hours and then go to the pool for an hour and go inside the hotel and dry off and change into comfy clothes and they go get some lunch. Then they go grocery shopping for a while and go to the mall and buy some stuff. Then they would go and have some dinner and after that they went back to the hotel room and relax nd then go outside and walk around and have some fresh air. Then they got back from their walk and go back to the hotel room and have a snack and watch some tv and then went to sleep. They did all of those things for a week at the time that they were there. She still remember how star, December 12 ,2019  she was looking at her phone,  listening   to her  favorite idols, and a idea crossed her mind “should i try to do what they do” at first she was scared but after  posting her fist video of her singing a cover of the “Reason to stay” she did not show her face because of the stereotype she alway think that she wasn’t enough because of her overweight.

The students in that classroom always made it fun by making a lot of jokes, they also brought some games from home to play during the party. Another thing they brought was snacks, we all had to bring some sort of snack to pass out to the class and enjoy while watching the movie. It was a dark gloomy day while we were watching this scary/interesting movie, it was a mysterious movie. Suddenly, the principle decided to come in and scare us from behind. He came in with this dark scary mask and dressed in all black, we were all very terrified. Once he revealed that it was him we all laughed all relieved. It was funny but also scary not knowing who that person could of been. After that chaos happened it was the end of the school day. I went home to my brother scaring me as well, he didn't get me though since he tries to scare me everyday. Finally me, my friend, and brother went trick or treating around the neighborhood. There was so much haunted houses and jumpscares when you ring the doorbell. They were so creepy but fun at the same time. After a while we had to go home. It was a blast!

As usual, he was very confident in his knowledge and understanding of the material. However, on the day of the test, all of this would come crashing down. 

On testday, he felt no stress. He wasn't worried one bit. Then comes second period and he started the test. He began great, he had good pace, sanguine, but it all evaporated swiftly. Panic filled his body as he tried to grasp the question. He stared at the almost gibberish text until the answer came to him. However, he wasted too much time, for the next question required a long 6 sentence explanation and a few minutes remained. 

By the end, he was exhausted but relieved. It shows, anything can happen even if you’re prepared.

It was crazy! I woke up and opened the bathroom door and there was a flood. I rushed and ran to my mom to tell her that there is a flood in my bathroom but she said to clean it myself. Okay, maybe I could but I just woke up. I tried to do it and I was so lazy I fell asleep in my bathroom. Then my mom came and she woke me up I guess and she told me to go and get some more sleep and I was in my cozy, comfy and warm bed taking a really long nap. Then I woke up and I was wishing my mom comes and tells me to go outside and play with Harry. Oh yeah by the way Harry is my friend. I met him at the beach and we started a really strong and enjoyable friendship. What is even cooler is that after I came back from the beach I found out that he lives in my neighborhood and like 2 or 3 houses down the block. We go to school together so we were riding our bikes and while we were going we saw Mr. France. Harry asked Who is that?  Oh you don’t wanna know about him. Well it’s kind of a long story of the way he taught me. But let’s go on said Harry. So we drove to school and the students in my class were staring at me and it felt pretty weird. Walking in a class with 15 kids staring at you is really weird. So I continued and after school I drove back home.

The team of 7th grade girls including a girl named Anida Murati, just arrived at the school they would be competing against. One of the best schools in all of Illinois. Gemini wasn’t on much of a winning streak, but this game had the chance to change that. 

After a few minutes of practicing, they were ready to start the game. Anida looked over in the stadium and saw that her parents had come to watch. She had to play the best she could today. The first few minutes of the game went well. The other team made many shots, but Gemini wasn’t much behind. The last quarter of the game was the most important. They were down 18 to 22, but they only needed 2 more shots to tie up. Anida was on the bench for most of the game after she played the first quarter, but she was called up on the court for the final 4 minutes of the game. She worked hard not letting the other team get any more points using defense, and assisted her teammates on offense. A minute passed and Anida was now passed the ball. She hasn’t made a shot since one of the first games of the season, so she was sure that she wouldn’t make this shot, but it didn’t hurt to try. Her feet lifted off the ground, and the ball she once had clenched in her palms was now slowly sliding off her fingers heading towards the hoop. In Anida’s eyes, it felt like the slowest 5 seconds of her life but finally, “Swoosh”, the ball went in. She actually made it in. Cheers came from not only her parents, but her whole team. But they were still not in the lead. The other team was 2 points ahead, so they had to make at least one more layup to tie. 

The last few seconds were coming up, Anida got passed the ball but this time she couldn’t make a shot. She passed it to her teammate with 5 seconds on the clock. Her teammate dribbled backwards. 5. She was heading to the 3 point line. 4. She was fully open, and had the shot clear. 3. She lifted her feet and her hands let go of the ball. 2. The ball was floating in the air and suspense filled the room. 1. And the ball went in the hoop. “BUZZ” went the buzzer and the game was over. 23-22. They had won by one point. They celebrated their victory with their parents and the team. She joined because she really liked running and just having a fun time. Later almost at the end of the school year, the teachers/coaches said that we were going for a marathon.  She was really excited when they also said 3 miles, she kind of got anxious but she decided to give it a try.
When she got there, the sky was gloomy so she got a little bit worried that it might rain. It was about two hours after they got in the bus, they’ve arrived. By the time they got there, the sun was shining and the sky was beautiful. She got excited, there was some time left to chill before the real marathon so her and others decided to hang out and look around doing fun activities. 
At the race, Some people were walking and some people were running. 15 minutes of running and drinking water in the middle, they made it, 3 miles. After when everyone was there, they spent more time together and went home exhausted but exuberant

After hours of hard work he wanted to take a quick break, and to his horror, his test signed out. Alex was stressed beyond belief and was questioning what his next action should be. 
Alex thought for a minute and raised his hand, he told his teacher what had happened. After 10 minutes of trying, Alex was able to enter his test again and submitted it. 
Finally, when he arrived home he was no longer stressed and could relax for the next two days of testing

Students and teachers are having a normal day at Gemini Middle School in Niles. All the students are thinking they have a test that day because the teacher told them two days before. But what the students don't know is that the teacher is pranking them by saying they have a test that day. All the students went to school annoyed that day because they think they have a test. 


The teacher made the classroom look like they have a test to make it more realistic and separated the students desk from each other.  The students come in the classroom and sit on the desk then the teacher tells them its a prank and that there is no test that day and tells them today is just a free day.

All the students were surprised about what happened no one expected to have a free day because the teacher told them they had a test and the teacher has never pranked them so the test prank was pretty realistic. After the teacher tells them they have a free day all the students start going on there phones and start playing games with there friends. At the end of the day all the students had a great time had a lot of fun but they were thinking of pranking the teacher back.

It  was Dulguun’s first wrestling match. He was so nervous that he was shaking and he was sweating.“ it's your turn, Dulguun” his coach said. He was nervous and excited at the same time. The match started, he shook his hand with the opponents,and started wrestling.His opponent was really tough. Dulguun finally caml himself and started focing on the match. He had little wrestling experience so he didn't know what to do. His opponent lifted Dulguun’s leg and pinned him down.People were shouting load.Dulguun was down and he was scared. But the match wasn’t over yet, and he didn’t give up.He knew he would lose if you didn't do anything.So he got up and pushed his opponent down. They even had a point after that it was an intense match. A couple minutes later  Dulguun remembered the move his coach taught him. So he did it and actually worked. So that's how Dulguun won his first wrestling match.

The warm weather is here, and all citizens are ready to spend time outside. A new Mexican restaurant is opening up on Chicago’s WestSide. There was a grand opening for it. 

We are currently outside of the Mexican restaurant everyone has been talking about. Keilly Martinez also known as the 12 year old  who helped her uncle out during the grand opening says that she was ready for all these new people to come into her uncles new restaurant.. However she was not used to the neighborhood.  Keilly says a couple minutes before the incident happened to her. She was outside with her cousin doing posters for the grand opening.  Keilly  was left alone when this happened. Her cousin left a couple minutes before to help inside. Keilly then noticed a Big red truck stopped right by her.  People that were around her say all they saw was keilly running but never knew why. She said when she saw the big red truck all she could think of was to run and leave everything behind.  Keilly  got inside and waited for the big red truck to leave.

 This is something that is important because this can happen to anyone and anywhere however she says that everyone should be careful and to stay with your parents. Before, closing out today’s news Keilly says that nothing really happened After all but she felt relieved since the the big red truck never came back but you won’t believe what happened next.  Well that is it for today news.

A large, close family is headed towards Pakistan. Their hope is to spend quality time with family members there. So it was the first time the family, went on a plane, the family were a little nervous because it was weird being on a plane in a long time. It is going to be a fun month at pakistan, because the family haven't  been there in a long time. It was a long trip on the plane because it was a 16 hour flight.  (finish setting up story)
So 16 hours later the family was in Pakistan and it is really hot their but thankly the family came in the evening, so the family in pakistan showed us around in pakistan and we finally arrived at the house. The whole family sat down and at dinner and the food was amazing. Later that night my uncle got into a motorcycle crash, he fractured his arm and the family just helped him and gave him medication.
