This church building is one of a handful in my area, with different religions to choose from. Having a religious community is an important feature of a neighborhood for many. This ease of access to religious services can provide satisfaction and a sense of belonging.

Small Businesses

At this house, among others, was a small business. This one in particular made "Gourmet Dog Treats." Having presence of small business, even as small as one being run out of someone's house, is a good sign that this environment has a good enough "economy" to start and grow companies.

Hospital

This hospital is a huge plus for this area. Most neighborhoods don't get to have medical care at this level so accessible and convenient. Having a local hospital makes it much more convenient for this area's residents to get the care they need. Especially because this hospital is very new and has lots of new technology and processes.

Train Station

Having a nearby train station is a great benefit. The presence of good public transit is something many residents can and will take advantage of. For those who don't have personal transportation, or don't want to use it on their commute to work every day, having access to the Frontrunner has to be insanely helpful.

Family Owned Restaurants

This area surely has its fair share of chain restaurants, but luckily, it comes along with a handful of family owned restaurants. Local businesses holding presence in this area gives it its own spunk and culture that can't be created if large corporate companies owned every business. It gives the residents something to be proud of and support.

My favorite thing about this follow up part of the assignment is that we used the same neighborhood as the first part. Going back and examining an area with a focus to find the good was a cool comparison to focusing only on the bad things prior to this time. I enjoyed appreciating what this area had to offer rather than looking for what to fix or look down on.
