Capitalism is a process of supply and demand, People use you so that they can make money off of the products that the produce. People compete for power and money within this economic system. Along with business system they compete for the power and money for resources that they sell. Supply and demand are the two forces that drive capitalism. Supply and demand are what determines the prices of goods in capitalism and creates competition for the other businesses. Prices and production are determined by supply and demand in a competitive environment, with limited government intervention.

This quote demonstrates how capitalism is mostly responsible for the death of 8 million-10 million Congolese people, plus the atrocities that were committed in your name. These crimes were committed while Congolese people were getting mistreated while they were hardworking and making rubber for king Leo to sell for profit.

Another way that capitalism is responsible is because of the completion that King Leo saw coming. In the text it says, "People in Brazil and other countries around the world began growing rubber tree...that the supply of rubber was going to increase and would lower the price of rubber...King Leopold II would not be able to make nearly as much profit. This made King Leopold II rush to produce as much rubber as he could in as short of time as possible. "

This quote explains how though he head made money from rubber but soon cannot make as much as he did before because People from other countries had also wanted to also sell rubber. With the increase of the rubber he cannot make as much money because people will also be fighting for the prices of rubber. Due to this happening it can cause king Leo to have less control over the Congolese people.

Another quotes showing how capitalism is responsible for most of the deaths is because people had to due what they were told to do. In the text its states, " It may be true that individuals did the actual killing, but they were playing by rules that you established. Others may be guilty, but because your rules control others’ actions, you are most to blame for the Congolese slaughter. "

This quote describes how people that were under King Leo rules were also the rules of capitalism they had killed those 8-10 million people just for the money and power. Though they had killed those people for the power, they were still disrespecting the people of the "Congo free State" they had worked for you so that you could gain the power and money but never gave any credit because you wanted it all.

I believe that capitalism is the one to blame for the 10 million Congolese people that had died because of the rules that people had to play that you have. They had killed people and went under your rules so that you could gain all the power in resources and money. Most of the crimes that were committed were under your name even though you never did them. Your rules controlled other actions which killed millions of people that did the hard labor but got no credit.
