That LI and SC are mainly used at the beginning of a lesson and not referred back to during or at the end of a lesson.

Students like the idea of a 'hook' to start a lesson/unit, however, they are not always finding the way that they are used is relevant or engaging.

Students get a lot of time to practise and apply the skills and knowledge.

90% of students said that when a hook was used it improved the lesson.
A high % of students received useful feedback. 
Lesson review and reflection hardly ever occurs.
