Uzi (Malo´s Step-Brother) had just committed a crime that Malo was gonna step in and do with them. Uzi didn't allow him to do it with him and his other friend (Ted) for this one time. Little did they know that 10 minutes later they'd be running from the cops only to get caught.

With the incident that had happened Uzi´s mom decided to send him away to Arizona with an Uncle hoping for Uzi to learn his lesson. This affected Malo because   he wasn't going to able to have the support that Uzi would always give him .

One night, Malo had to observe his dad carry his mom and drive off to the hospital. The next day Malo bumps in to his dad in the morning and asks about his mom. His dad doesn't tell him much, all he said to Malo was that his cousin (Kianna) will be coming over to be with him and hands him the hospitals phone number. Malo calls and hears ¨Philadelphia Psychiatric Center¨ and hangs up. Thats when Kianna tells him what went down.

Uzi is up to no good in Arizona and got detained. He calls Malo to let him know and his last words to him on the call was to get him out of there. Keep in mind Malos mom is still at the Hospital getting the help she needs.

Uzi had been sentenced to 25 years of prison because he slept with a white 13 year old that had apparently told him that she was 26.
