As we are reading the book I will have kids write Facebook posts with #hashtags as if they were writing from the time of the book. I am going to let the students choose if they want to be a character from the book or if they want to be themselves in the time of the book. One of those days I will have students solve a problem from the twitter challenge page. It will be nice to use it to differentiate in order to give students a problem that will challenge them, but not too much. Week 2 - Facebook profile for the students to share as an ice breaker (will compile in a file to share on the Facebook group with the parents)
Week 3 - Continue posting pictures and sharing news with the parents. 
I might do weekly reflections with my students that I will post to the parents as well.
