They were all representing one large group (immigrants) but split themselves up into smaller groups within the one large group to represent each of their own communities. They used at least 10 languages and expressed themselves via signs, chants, and the clothing they wore within those smaller groups.

This was demonstrated by the utilization of signs, speeches and chants, clothing, and different forms of media (such as newspaper, radio, or photography). Each different use of LL personalized and voiced their community while also expressed unity as a whole. Examples of this would be how, in Seals words, discussing example 2, "have their own individual message in their own words to convey to attendees." These messages hold a value in LL by using many different languages, or religious symbols. Seals walked around the protest collecting data about all the different forms of LL in over 200 photographs, and five videos that span the course of four hours. She noticed that LL was being conducted through written words (signs, shirts), images (signs, colors, presence of certain groups, representational clothing), and spoken words (the languages used). Each instance of LL was used to give the message that immigration needed to be reformed. To analyze the concepts, she had to collect over “200 photographs and five videos” from different protests included signs, individual photographs, and videos, conversations to illustrate the application and importance of linguistic landscape. From the selected photographs, she divided into different groups: reappropriation of space, groups as a Repetition of Images, clothing as capital, additional minority language presence, flags and signs to show how linguistic landscape was applied in each situation.
