Humans should eat Animals because they are a good source of nutrients, proteins. Besides, many cultures and religions have meat eating as a tradition. One of the main reasons that people find meat eating unethical is religion itself, but that does not stop people from eating meat. This question has multiple views, and is mostly opinion based. It depends on every individuals perspective.

China's one-child policy is prompting a complex debate about its possible implementation in India, where population control could ease pressure on resources and improve economic prospects, particularly through better education and women's empowerment. However, there are significant concerns regarding human rights violations, the risk of an aging population, potential gender imbalances and negative social consequences. Alternatives such as improving education and access to reproductive health care may offer less stringent solutions to managing population growth. Ultimately, any population management strategy in India should balance the need for resource sustainability with respect for individual rights while taking into account cultural, social and economic factors.

Abortion should be the choice of the parents. If the parents do not have the resources and the ability to support the child, the child should not have to live through that. Access to safe and legal abortion is crucial for protecting women’s health. Illegal abortions can lead to severe complications and even death. According to the World Health Organization, complications from unsafe abortions account for approximately 13% of maternal deaths worldwide.Studies have shown that access to abortion can have positive economic and social outcomes for women. Women who can control their reproductive lives are more likely to complete their education, participate in the workforce, and achieve economic stability.

Death penalties should be legal since it creates a sence of fear among anyone doing anything illegal. Real justice requires people to suffer for their wrongdoing and to suffer in a way appropriate for the crime. In this case “An eye for an eye” is appropriate, that the punishment should match the crime, and that the penalty is needed as a moral balance to the wrong done by the criminal. This also helps in promoting a good and just society than shuns evil and wrongdoings.

-Suhaan Arora

Implementing a one-child policy in India would be very controversial and difficult. While it could help control the growing population and ease pressure on resources, it could also cause serious social, economic, and ethical issues. This might include problems like imbalances in age and gender ratios and limits on personal freedoms and cultural practices. Instead, improving access to family planning, education, and women's health could be a better approach. This way, we can manage population growth while still respecting individual rights and cultural differences.

While some believe it might improve personal safety and deter crime, the country's high population and diverse communities make widespread gun ownership risky. India's current strict gun laws help control who can have guns and prevent misuse. Given the challenges of enforcing gun control and the risk of increased violence, keeping these strict laws seems wise. Improving law enforcement and tackling the causes of violence might be a better approach than allowing more people to carry guns.

The legality of the death penalty remains a complex and controversial issue, leading to strong arguments for and against its use. Proponents argue that the death penalty is a deterrent, especially against serious crimes such as murder, and argue that the fear of being killed can deter people from doing so. Additionally, supporters believe it serves only to avenge a heinous crime, bring justice, and bring closure to the victims' families. They also say that killing criminals improves public safety by preventing more crimes and saves money in the long run by avoiding the cost of long prison sentences. Protesters expressed serious concerns about the risk of extrajudicial executions, especially where innocent people could be killed because of bad decisions or illegal representation. Research also shows that there is mixed evidence on the effectiveness of the death penalty as a crime deterrent. Many argue that taking a life is the wrong punishment regardless of the crime, and oppose its application to morality and justice. The use of the death penalty has also been criticized for being discriminatory, disproportionately affecting marginalized groups, and raising awareness of injustices in the legal system. Reform advocates also believe that social reform should move away from the death penalty to reflect progress and respect for human rights. The status of the death penalty varies across countries and regions, and this ongoing debate continues to evolve in response to changes in social, legal and political structures and public opinion.

Humans themselves are classified as animals too.. and in nature, animals do eat other animals so this is completely natural. Eating animals is a crucial part of our lifestyle as it also provides various nutrients and proteins that will help us live longer.

The debate over abortion rights is one of the most contentious issues of our time. At the heart of the pro-choice argument is the belief in women’s bodily autonomy and the right to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. Here, we outline the key reasons why supporting a pro-choice stance is essential for safeguarding women’s rights, health, and equality.

Bodily Autonomy and Personal Freedom

Central to the pro-choice position is the principle of bodily autonomy. This fundamental right asserts that individuals should have control over their own bodies and the decisions that affect their lives. For women, this means having the freedom to decide if and when to have children. Each pregnancy is unique, and the decision to continue or terminate a pregnancy involves complex personal, health, and socio-economic considerations. Denying women the right to choose forces them into potentially life-altering situations for which they may not be prepared or willing to face.

Health and Safety

Access to safe and legal abortion is critical for protecting women’s health. History and research demonstrate that when abortion is restricted, women do not stop seeking them; instead, they resort to unsafe methods, risking their lives and well-being. The World Health Organization estimates that unsafe abortions account for tens of thousands of maternal deaths each year, primarily in countries where abortion is heavily restricted. Ensuring that women have access to safe, legal abortions reduces the incidence of maternal mortality and complications associated with unsafe procedures.

Gender Equality and Empowerment

Reproductive rights are closely linked to gender equality. When women have the ability to control their reproductive choices, they can participate more equally in society. This freedom allows women to pursue education and career opportunities, contributing to economic growth and societal well-being. Denying women the right to choose perpetuates inequality by limiting their ability to make decisions about their futures. Moreover, the ability to plan and space pregnancies can lead to better outcomes for children and families, as parents are more likely to be prepared and capable of providing for their children.

Addressing Misconceptions

It’s important to address some common misconceptions about the pro-choice stance. Supporting the right to choose does not equate to being “pro-abortion.” Rather, it is about advocating for the right of women to make their own decisions. Pro-choice advocates also emphasize the importance of comprehensive sex education and access to contraception, which can reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and, consequently, the need for abortions.

Common Ground and Compassionate Dialogue

While the pro-life and pro-choice positions are often portrayed as irreconcilable, there is potential for common ground. Both sides can agree on the importance of supporting pregnant women and mothers through access to healthcare, education, and social services. Promoting comprehensive sex education and access to contraception are also areas where consensus can be found, as they help reduce unintended pregnancies and the associated need for abortions.

In conclusion, supporting a pro-choice stance is about trusting women to make informed decisions about their own lives and ensuring they have the necessary legal and medical support to do so safely and without undue burden. It is a commitment to protecting women’s health, promoting gender equality, and upholding the fundamental principle of bodily autonomy. By advocating for these rights, we can create a society that respects and empowers women, allowing them to make choices that are best for themselves, their families, and their futures.

Abhay Deepak Anand (8H)

China's one child per household policy is a very controversial topic , but in everyone's thoughts it is very wrong to control population and every family should have the right to have as many members as they want. This should only be thought upon if there is lack of land and too much crowd everywhere . Only then does this policy seem somewhat right . But having implemented this policy is the reason that China is the world's second most populated place in the world . But since in India we don't have such policies , we are the most populated country in the world .But , there are also many families that are not being able to reproduce(12-15%) which already stops somewhat growth of the next generation , but such a policy should not be implemented , unless it is really required to .

There are multiple benefits and issues if gun access was not restricted as much as it is. Gun access can help people in self defense in such a case that an invasion happens then the population can fight back and also in improving a country's military due to experience of using guns and knowing how they work. However the main issue is these weapons can be used for terrorism, shootings and mass violence especially in India where there are deep religious lines and riots (sadly). In conclusion, it is safer to keep these strict gun laws as the costs outweigh the benefits.

-Raghav

Should carrying arms be legal in India ?

India’s arms and ammunition laws are governed primarily by the Arms Act, of 1959, and the Arms Rules, of 2016, issued under the Act. The Arms Act is a law enacted to consolidate and amend the laws relating to arms and ammunition in the country. It governs the manufacture, sale, possession, and usage of firearms. However, there are multiple pros and cons to using and possessing arms. While the general public can possess NPB (Non-Prohibited Bore) firearms, the possession and use of PB firearms are generally restricted to armed forces, police, and other security personnel. However, under special circumstances, if a person can prove a threat to their life and the police cannot provide protection, they may be granted a license for PB firearms as well. So, in a way, the use of arms is restricted, however, if we misuse them, it can lead to severe consequences. A very recent example of the same is the road rage accident that happened a few days ago, where a woman was shot because her husband got into a heated argument with a biker.

With this being said, I believe that carrying arms should be legal if you can provide adequate and well-structured arguments for why you should own the same. However, if it is being misused, there should be severe consequences enforced.

-Aadya Sethi

One child policy, a attempt to reduce population growth, was introduced by China. It has a possible chance being used by India as the population is hitting limits which may exhaust India of its resources. Even though the One Child Policy is for the countries good it also creates gender bias and discrimination. When most families were restricted to one child, having a girl became highly undesirable. In China this led to many female children being abandoned due to which orphanages were filled with them. Due to this thousands of Chinese girls were adopted in the US. This also affected the personal freedom and gender ratio in China. This also changed in cultural practices. That is why One child policy would be harmful for the society and religion of many countries.

Abortion should be legal as it is fundamentally a question of whether or not women have the right to control their own bodies.

Abortion was first made legal in 1973 when the Supreme Court of America decided that the unborn fetus had no constitutional rights until the third trimester (24-28 weeks), as it is incapable of functioning independently from the mother until that time. However, before this, approximately 1 million women had already aborted their pregnancies which resulted in abortion becoming the leading cause of maternal deaths. This proves that making it legal is only to ensure safe abortions as women will abort their pregnancies either way.

There are multiple factors leading to abortion: medical incapability to deliver the child, lack of resources, instability etc. Each of these is a valid reason to not continue with the pregnancy.
