A program that ends with an AP or similar culminating assessment

I would have World Days throughout the year to celebrate other cultures and its language(s)

I would make a few electives for students to be able to practice creative writing in their L1. There would also be a class that teaches how to read novels and short stories in the L1. There would be an acting class, in the L1. Writing for content and academic purposes is valuable, but creativity gives LIFE and makes language so beautiful. Dual Language programs, lots of anti-racism education, a lot of student interaction when learning, buddies in different grades. A real plan to receive students when they first come from another country, not just throwing them in a classroom and having other kids translate for them. More parent support.

My dream school would have copious resources to support teachers to teach ELL's, consistent ENL services provided to the students that require it and collaboration between ENL teachers and classroom teachers.
