This song was from the Vietnam playlist. This song has a nice, slow beat, and a steady guitar strum that is pleasing on its' own. The lyrics are very clearly about the government system, specifically how the people in power stay rich and safe while pushing for other people to fight the war.

This was from the civil war playlist. This is a well-known song from Aretha Franklin, a simple and classy bop about wanting respect. Something that both women and black people did not have much of back then. She was advocating for herself and others, which I think is an important thing to have on this list.
