         <description><![CDATA[<p>Participants in Professional Development activities do not follow up or assess their work independently. This is an area where administration will&nbsp;work this next school year to assure self-assessment and continuous reflection from teachers. &nbsp;</p><p>For the most part, teachers enjoy group work and like to make sure every stake-holder is held accountable to their responsibility. </p><p>Teachers demand clear expectations with rubrics and standards. This allows for teachers to reach the expected goals.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Teachers value independent practice time and reflection. They value the freedom and flexibility of being able to apply their didactic style to their pedagogic approach in the classroom.</p><p>Teachers like hands-on activities with time to practice. Lecture mode is not very effective with our staff. "Hyjacking" staff meetings is a turn-off for them. </p><p>The application of new technologies and innovation approaches to activities and presentations is effective with our staff. Concise directions are effective with our staff. We stay away from "preaching" to the staff because it is a turn-off. </p><p>Any new technology is always welcome. Web-based testing (i.e. phone apps, electronic collaboration.)</p>]]></description>

Their focus is consistent. </p><p>Teachers are very pragmatic; they are not automatically attracted to "bells and whistles."</p><p>Teachers want to do what works and resist new things if not presented and implemented adequately. </p>]]></description>

Teachers are&nbsp;eclectic in nature.&nbsp;They commonly ask: "Why are we doing this?", "what is the purpose?" "Will it work?" </p>]]></description>
