I always get red packets and I love eat sweet rice balls.

I love you Chinese New Year!!!

But if I was to celebrate Chinese new year I would like to see a parade and get some red packets but there is a similar tradition in Islam ☪️ that you also get red packets it’s called Eid Mubarak anyways back to Chinese new year i would maybe like to try a turnip cake and last but not least make some sweet rice balls and that’s it goodbye

And I also like decorating my house and cleaning it and wasting my parents and my money for games and I will keep playing games until the end of the Chinese New Year Holiday!

I really love Chinese New Year because money And I love money and I also love wasting money on games or wasting on food or useless stuff that I think is useful.

I always go to peoples house and get money for free and use their free Wi-Fi so I can play games without spending money on my house’s electric and get free food because I love free food and I am very greedy…

I also but a lot of flowers for fun and a 10 boxes of drink and try to get even more money because my family bought a restaurant and I get free food, free money and also I can order everything so I make them lose their money and I get all the food and at the same time, I also get a lot of a lot of money.

Sometimes because of no Wi-Fi or no battery,I will spend all my money on a Wi-Fi egg I don’t k ow what it is and buy a charger,I also go to my friends house and eat free food and get free money, free tv free Wi-Fi also I can play for a long time about 5 or 4 hours total.

When Chinese New Year is about to end I will keep buying stuff and random stuff and keep eating and wasting money for me.

On the last day of Chinese New Year,I will spend all my time on games and at night I will do my homework.

People usually eat tangerines for luck and dumplings for wealth. In my country we just blow up our own fireworks but some people in my country down really do anything on the day. I have never celebrated CNY because my family doesn’t.

During Chinese new year my family and I sweep our house to get rid of bad luck.We will decorate our house with Chinese new year decorations.We will eat sticky rice cakes ,tangerines and more.Tangerines symbolises good luck and fortune.

The common tradition of cny is to clean your house to sweep away the bad spirits,childern also

IN cny I do not eat Chinese new year foods. I don’t eat Chinese food in general. During Chinese new year I eat pasta and fried rice and fried chicken that my mom makes I thing the ones in restaurants are too salty my mom makes the better fried chicken

I don’t see my relatives during cny bcuz they r in Italy or the Philippines

Chinese New Year was one of my favorite holidays growing up in the US, because I could share and show my friends different Chinese cultural traditions. We learned to respect each other's cultural differences. It was a lot of fun!

When I was a child, I used to decorate the house with my family members and bought new clothes with my mum. We had a busy schedule in the past and spent our CNY holiday by visiting different relatives and friends. We prepared the sweet tray and ate turnip cakes together. Sometimes we even went back to our hometown and stayed for a couple of days. I really enjoyed the traditional Chinese food in my hometown and the amazing fireworks.

But now, I would rather spend more time staying with my family than plan a busy schedule. Family reunion is the most important thing for me nowadays. Also, CNY is a good chance for me to take a break:)

Chinese New Year is a very special time in Hong Kong. One of the best parts is watching the fireworks over Victoria Harbour. The sky lights up with bright colours, and it looks amazing!

Another fun activity is the night parade. There are many colorful floats and exciting performances. People dance with lion costumes and play loud music. Everyone is happy and excited!

Watching the fireworks and the parade with family makes it even more special ! I remember when I was a little girl, my parents brought me to Tsim Sha Tsui to watch the fireworks to celebrate and welcome the new year!

2. We eat dinner with our family. We eat seafood (fish (symbol for plenty), prawns......), vegetables (broccoli, gai lan (Chinese broccoli), and a lot more)...... And for dessert, we have sweet rice cakes and sweet rice balls. We also go to our relatives to get red envelopes. There are also lion dances and fireworks.

Fish is traditionally eaten in Chinese New Year as it symbolises having more than enough every year.

In my country, Malaysia, many people celebrate Chinese New Year in different ways. Malays do not usually celebrate Chinese New Year as it is not part of their cultural heritage. I am however a Chinese Malaysian, so we do celebrate Chinese New Year. We do play with fireworks and have a giant family reunion. We even set up a one-hundred and eight foot long firecracker. It sounded like drops of rain pouring down onto a metal roof but much louder. Some shops in Malaysia are also closed during Chinese New Year as their owners are either taking a break or visiting their family. Some families also eat Yusheng (also called Lou sang). Yusheng is a dish eaten by Chinese Malaysians and Singaporeans which is tossed chopsticks before eating. It can get a little messy, but if food goes everywhere in the room the tossing is done incorrectly as it is meant to be tossed as high as possible (not in all directions possible). However, most Chinese families do not eat this.

Before Chinese New Year, I always put up red papers around my house and I clean before Chinese New Year.

During Chinese New Year, me and my family watch the lion dance and buy fresh flowers.

My favourite part about Chinese New Year is probably getting red packets or eating traditional Chinese food.

For Chinese New Year I had a big dinner with all of my family to celebrate. I felt grateful to share my time with all of my family members.

My brother and I love the New Year! We visit our relatives, eat yummy snacks, and receive many red envelopes. The best part is enjoying the lion dance together.

This year, our family also went to Macau for three days and two nights! We had so much fun exploring and making memories.
