2. Briar grew up on the streets of Hajra stealing to survive, but for the past year, he’s been living in Winding Circle and being taken care of.  How has this changed him?

3. Tris is upset and says “It’s their own fault! What were they doing mucking about the Mire anyway? Everyone knows the poor breed disease!” What is Lark’s response? How would you respond if you were in conversation?

3. Briar didn’t know how to read or write a year ago when he came to Winding Circle, but Tris taught him.  How does Briar feel about his skills in writing?  Why? Do you feel the same way?

- Pick a plant that is used to treat the blue pox and look it up-see if what the book says they treat is actually what they used for. (Try willow/willowbark)

3. How does Henna treat the sick with magic?  What would happen if she tried to cure Flick or another patient completely?  Why doesn’t she do that?

- Take a nap. Get some rest and take care of yourself.
