For example, this month we are promoting Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The display contains books, Graphic novels, any music, DVDs, Lg print material we may have. We also include booklists with the above materials as well as items not displayed. We also had a book display in our Youth Services dept that also featured titles from AAPI authors. Our community includes many patrons with Korean and Chinese heritage.

The list is comprised of adults who primarily check out children's material and people who subscribe to receive emails with kids and families content.

In the email, we included a link to a list of titles (with lists for kids, teens, and adults) for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. These type of monthly lists are created by our collection staff and feature books written by AAPI authors. The graphic featured a collage of book covers from the kids' list.

It has been hard not to with all of the great books coming out especially those considered YA. And we have seen that our patrons are picking these titles off our displays.
