The following artifacts demonstrate my ability to create research from my field while working with children.

By providing this evidence, I demonstrate my understanding of the Early Childhood Education program. So, from these three artifacts, I reflect on a child’s development and how I can plan their curriculum according to their interests. By planning activities for children based on sensory/creative/engagement and memory, I learned how an educator can help children in their development. Other than that, I learned about the importance of outdoor play and how it can be beneficial for children.

The following artifacts demonstrate my ability to plan a curriculum based on children’s interests. From the given artifacts, I learned that an educator should plan activities that can help children in their overall development. Through the nature and curriculum assignment, children can learn about natural resources and play in nature, which can help them with nature exploration as well. Other than that, sensory play, outdoor play, and other activities focus on cognitive, social, and emotional development.

The following artifacts demonstrate my ability to work with children by recognizing all the health conditions and being familiar with allergies. The food handler is one of the certificates that every ECE should have if they are willing to work with children, as it helps us to be familiar with food allergies. Adding to this, First Aid is the mandatory certificate to work with children. A person who knows CPR and first aid techniques can easily save others' lives.

Course: Partnership with families

The following artifacts demonstrate my ability to work with children as well as with their families about their child’s development. So, from these two artifacts, I learned how I can support a child who is suffering from any disorder or disability and what can be a good way to have an interview with a family member. For a family support plan, I and my partner searched a lot with the help of a case study and found various ways to support the child, and it allowed me to learn more. Other than that, getting an interview from a family member about their child allows me to plan the curriculum accordingly and provides me with an opportunity to learn about the child’s development.
