         <title>Types and Reasons for Mixed Methods Research</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>1) Basic Qualitative Methods </mark></strong><br>This type of research design has a primarily focused approach on meaning, understanding, and process when conducting an experiment. The experimental findings are normally descriptively &amp; detailed, with different themes &amp; categories littered throughout. This type of research method uses a variety of different data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documents to obtain data.&nbsp; This data is normally used to compare against other similar experiments &amp; findings. <br><br><mark>2) </mark><strong><mark>Phenomenology</mark></strong><br>This type of research method is conductive of using individual’s experiences to explain &amp; understand shared meanings. The different aspects of this approach includes preconceptions to approach a phenomenon, treating every experience equally, and focusing on the experience itself and the effect it causes. <br><br><mark>3) Grounded </mark><strong><mark>Theory</mark></strong><mark> </mark><br>This theory outlines the theories that are developed from data collection which are rooted in participant’s experiences. This means that the experimenter focuses on the data itself, rather than pre-existing hypothesis to test for. This allows for a deeper understanding of the data. This method finds the patterns &amp; relationships during analysis and develops theoretical concepts from it. <br><br><strong><mark>4) Ethnography </mark></strong><br>This type of research method involves a deep dive into a the complex relationship between a specific culture or community. This study highlights the social dynamics, trends, behaviors, and beliefs of a certain demographic. This method involves direct observations and interaction when recording data which provides a more accurate &amp; representative picture of the data which is commonly known as fieldwork. <br><br><strong><mark>5) Narrative Analysis </mark></strong><br>&nbsp;This type of research method goes over individuals and examining their stories and analyzing their means from a personal view. This analysis of text stems from the breakdown of written, spoken, or visual material to explain different meanings and perspectives. This method also uses individuals past history, mental processes, and language usage to further explain different meanings &amp; perspectives. <br><br><strong><mark>6) Case Study<br></mark></strong>This type of research method goes into an in-depth analysis of a specific system or case study. The data collection of this research method consists of interviews, observations, and document analysis which is used to formulate a real-life context &amp; application. This method allows for a deeper understanding of a case or certain phenomenon.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

This involves the examination of one’s beliefs, judgments, and practices during a research process and the effect they have on the research itself.<br><br>2) This process outlines any potential biases, experiences, or positionally that could hinder or advance the study in an artificial or skewed way. This method allows for a deeper understanding between researchers and their background, beliefs, and assumptions they may have while conducting a study.&nbsp;<br><br>3) This method involves the use of self-documentation through journals or diary’s in order to show transparency &amp; an insight into the researchers thoughts and feelings while conducting the study.
