Then the baby piper tried to get their mother to get food for them but the mother refused, but after piper watches hermit crabs and how they avoid the waves by burying themselves in the sand, then after being lead in the water by the hermit crabs, is then met by another wave destined to crash into the baby piper, the baby piper freaks out but then watches the hermit crabs burrow themselves in the sand to avoid the wave and thats when the baby piper learned how to hunt for food in a new way

Plot: The mother bird has always helped her baby bird get along, and it seems she knows its time to start to teach her baby how to do things more independently, and learn how to get food and avoid danger. When the baby bird first goes out there, it gets washed over by the waves, it hadn't yet learned that you need to run away. After, it seems like it doesn't want to try again and is very scared after the bad experience. But soon after, it builds up the courage to try again and quickly notices how the hermit crabs keep from washing away in the waves. Even if this wasn't the way the birds usually do it, it helped the baby get over its fear and mentally grow.
