In my opinion if a human wants to include bugs into their diet that's on them. Humans consuming bugs isn't really a bad thing because they are rich in protein, vitamins,& minerals. I personally wouldn't eat any bugs because I'm scared of them but I wouldn't tear anybody down for being different and getting the benefits that bigs provide.

Humans don't often eat bugs because they don't have an appeal as food. Something like a cow has a much larger appeal as food because its meat is often fatter and can be cooked to taste better than insects. In today's world, bugs are becoming more and more of a viable food source, and efficient. Farmers can produce more locust meat than cow meat using the same amount of animal feed. On top of being an efficient food source, insects are immune to contracting illnesses that could harm humans. This makes insects a reliable food source. Overall I do think humans, especially western culture, should adopt insects into their diet, I just hope they make the insect meat look yummy.

Insects are clearly to be eaten by humans. Despite the human population exponentially growing in the billions, insects just by far outnumber us, being quadrillions or maybe even quintillions on this Earth. If there´s all that potential food on Earth, why would we not eat it? The man in the TED Talk brings up a very good point with preservatives, where numerous dyes are made of crushed insects, so people simply refuse to acknowledge the fact they´ve actually eaten insects at least once in their lifetime. Even though insects land towards the top of the food chain in the environment, there´s plenty for anyone to get some grub if they feel like trying something new. Insects contain iron and protein, which are viable nutrition sources for the average healthy diet. Since insects contain relatively the same nutritious values as meats, there´s nothing that refutes insects would be bad to eat. So therefore, I think insects are viable to be factored into diets, but not necessarily eaten by itself, you gotta incorporate into a meal discretely so the idea of eating an insect doesn´t gross you out. Some shops already sell insects in small packages as ¨exotic¨ snacks, so it must be a sign to start.

In my opinion bugs are a great thing to eat by people. I have even eaten a few of them. But I would not go out of my way to eat bugs when there are there more appealing options. However if times got desperate or the world was ending bugs would not be that hard to find and not to bad to eat.

In my opinion, insects would definitely benefit the human diet. Considering the benefits and the current situation with meat, it's almost guaranteed that we'll be eating insects sooner or later. In the video, he mentioned that insects are an efficient food source, considering the edible output you would get for 10kg of insect feed, compared to the little bit you get from beef or chicken, and the rest being waste. He also mentioned that not only are insects already in the processed food and dyes that we eat, but we technically already eat insect-like foods, like shrimp, crawfish and crabs. Insects are also a lot more accessible to us, so overall, insects would benefit humans, and hopefully they taste good.

As someone from Laos, that the speaker mentioned having a population who indeed ate insects, i can confirm that eating insects is good enough to sustain life. Laos is a generally poor country, eating insects instead of meat provides for the population who may not be as wealthy as people in the west.

Humans definitely benefit from eating bugs, bugs are full of proteins and vitamins that are significant and beneficial to the health of people and allow for better quality of life.

insects are more often than not harmless and contain no poisons or toxins, these insects are abundant in the world around us and are a fairly sustainable resource that leaves little to no harm in removing them from our earth. If we turn to insects as a more reliable source of protein it will allow for a lot of other animals to build up better ecosystems and it will allow for us to appreciate other species as living being instead of nothing but protein sources.

Eating insects is sustainable and holds benefits to our health, historically in many Asian and Hispanic households and cultures bugs and insects are a common occurrence in dishes thus highlighting the view that bugs should be a more common food and better source of nutrients for all individuals.

Eating bugs could be beneficial because as a food source they contain proteins and other mineral humans need to survive. They also contain a remarkable combination of two essential macronutrients: proteins and fats. Some people in cultures have insects as snacks and just as daily eats to consume normally. Insects like crickets and grasshoppers pack things like antioxidants, amino acids, anti-inflammatories, and fibers that are crucial for the human body.
