 By using the personal pronoun ‘your’ when talking about teens with mental health issues,  the parent readers felt an emotional affect making them want to become well informed of these warning signs so that they can help their children keep a strong mental health.

Watching this news clip gave me a sense of pride in my community. That even through the dark times there are people who are always trying to help and make issues better. I was given a greater understanding of just how much depression and suicide affect so many people around us. Anyone could be struggling with an internal conflict but you would never be able to tell until it’s too late. The SEAS organization that the Ryle students started allows people to open up and talk through some of the issues in their lives. When watching this video I couldn’t help to wonder why every school doesn’t have an organization like this and I think I would like to start one some day.

 Watching the short film ‘In a Heartbeat’ made me feel so much. Even without any words throughout the entirety of the artwork, I could feel every emotion and almost hear what the characters would have said. The film provided a somewhat acceptance of the gay community. The two boys were not teased by the other students when seen holding hands/ hearts. Instead, they two were brushed off as it was nothing like any straight couple would have. This film shows people that being gay doesn’t change how people should treat you and that you’re not alone.

 To raise awareness to the amount of injustice for LGBT students in the American school system there really is when it comes to enumeration.

 By using repetition of the words ‘bullying’ and ‘discrimination’ there is an emotional appeal to the audience who will feel sad and maybe even guilty that they haven’t noticed this major issue earlier. This will make them want to take a stand and fight to get the acts passed on a state and federal level.

The LGBTQ community has come a long way since their first mark in history.

 As a female athlete I believe it is very important to have a female role model. I feel a sense of pride within the feminist community that there are nearly as many women at the Winter Olympics this year that there are compared to men. Not only that but the fact that they are women of every size, shape, color, background, and personality overjoys me. The 2018 Winter Olympics are another step towards equality among all genders and I am here for it!

 The New York Times along with many Celebrities caught the attention of many viewers with their outrage of Neil Portnow saying women in the music industry need to “step up” if they want to be equal to a man.
