It was my first time on an airplane, and I was both excited and scared. I left my country with my parents and my little sister. We said goodbye to our family at the airport, and I felt very sad. When we arrived, everything looked different—new buildings, new people, and a new language. At first, I didn’t understand anything people said. I was nervous about starting school, but I met a nice teacher who helped me feel welcome. That day was important to me because it was the beginning of a new life. I learned that I can be brave and strong, even when things are hard.
