1. Which standard do you feel you are most proficient in at the moment? Why?
- I feel like I am most proficient in the standard 4G. Being able to communicate with my students on their level is very crucial in student learning. Encouraging and modeling a respectful enviroment, is something that I strive for everyday in my classroom. I still feel like I am figuring out ho and when to successfully assess my students, but this standard is progressing for me!

2. What was your biggest takeaway from this unpacking?
- My biggest takeaway was the way that you showed how to apply the standards. Also, with each you had an assessment video, that really helped to understand the standards even more! My biggest takeaway from both of these standards is to encourage our students no matter what. Encourage them to communicate and to encourage critical thinking.

3. What is one thing you would add or change about this website to aid in the unpacking of the standards?
- I absolutely loved your website! Thi

1. Which standard do you feel you are most proficient in at the moment? Why?
-I think that my stronger standard is definitely 4G. My students need structure in their lives, and especially in the classroom. So, I've always made it a goal of mine to keep that line of communication with not only my students, but my PLC and beyond. This also means differentiating effectively, because that is a form of communication for your students who don't understand it the way the majority of the class does.

2. What was your biggest takeaway from this unpacking?
-My biggest takeaway with this unpacking is how you use KUD. That is a really simple method that should light a fire under each of us to want to walk in our classrooms and make change!

3. What is one thing you would add or change about this website to aid in the unpacking of the standards?
-Your website was really great, and I can't really think of much to add! However, I would maybe include descriptions with the resources and how they can apply to 4G/4H. Good job!

1. I feel most confident with standard 4G right now. I feel this way because I spend a good deal of time in the classroom and have learned ways to communicate with my students and ways to get my students to communicate. I see the communication between student and teachers as a crucial part of the school dynamic. I don't have much experience with assessment yet, but this is something I look forward to exploring and growing in next semester.
2. My biggest takeaway from this unpacking was the KUD breakdown. The KUD portion allowed me to take a long and wordy standard and visualize steps I need to take in order to meet these standards.
3. I really liked your website. However, I may make the font a little darker, it could be a bit hard to read at times. Especially on the resources portion.

1. I would have to go with Standard 4G. I believe this is something I still have some work on, but feel comfortable talking with students and teaching effectively and confidently. What I am really working on is being assertive and "commanding" the room without sounding super mean. This is a very important aspect to teaching because the way we communicate will set the tone for the year, the day and the lessons we teach. We will have a more productive and quality classroom when we are able to master this.

2. I liked how you laid out the Strategies for 4G. I have taken note of them and plan to practice some of these for the rest of the semester as well as next semester. I also like how you used the KUD model to unpack the standard and make it clear for the reader.

3. Another great site from our crew!! You did a great job in explaining and laying out all of the necessary information for us. Your class picture was awesome too! You guys look like you have fun together. Great Job Skylar!

1. I would say that the standard I would be the most proficient in out of those two right now would be NCTCS 4G. I believe that I am able to effectively communicate with my students most of the time. Granted, I still need to work on this standard and improve on it, but out of these two standards, I feel that I am more proficient in 4G. Communication is definitely a crucial part in any classroom!

2. My biggest takeaway from these standards is the importance of using a variety of assessments.I learned this when I taught my literacy lessons. I discovered that one type of assessment would not be the best type of assessment for all of my students. They all learn in different ways so it is important that you assess them in ways where they can best show you what they have learned. This is something that I will constantly need to improve and work on as I begin teaching.

3. I thought you did an excellent job breaking down both of these standards. I especially loved the personal picture of you with your students! I thought that your website was very easy to follow and clearly laid out. I liked how, with your resources, you included what standard that they fall under. Great job, Skylar!!

1. I feel like I am the most proficient in Standard 4G, because I try to focus on being an intentional listener, and in this internship role this semester, I have done my best to observe and perceive my students' needs, and come up with solutions to address them. However, I definitely need to improve my communication with my ESL/ELL students, and work on communicating with them more effectively!

2. My biggest takeaway from your unpacking of these two standards was the need for we as teachers to create a variety of assessments to meet the needs of our individual learners! I struggle with creating summative assessments, and the resources you shared on formative and summative assessments were so helpful! I want to meet the learning styles/needs of all of my students as I give assessments, so I can know that the results I see are as accurate as possible.

3. You did a wonderful job breaking down these standards, Skylar! Your site looks great, and I especially appreciate how organized it is! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, strategies, and resources with us!

-Meredith

1. I feel like I am most proficient in standard 4G. I think that I am better at communicating right now on the level of my students understanding me and being a good listener. Why? because I have had situations where I will explain something to a student and they wont understand. So, I will reword it until the student understands.
2. My biggest take away from this unpacking was standard 4H. I really like how you gave the strategies to go along with that standard. This standard is one of the ones I really need to focus on and get better at.
3. I really enjoyed your presentation of the two standards. The website was neat and organized and filled with information. I think you did a great job.

1. After looking over your break down of the standards, I would say that I am most proficient in standard 4G. I think that communication is a really important part of a classroom and is something that I have focused on from the beginning. I think that I still have a really long way to go when it comes to 4H.
2. My biggest take away from this unpacking is the way that you broke down standard 4H. After really looking over everything, I could really work on this area. You gave some really great strategies that I think will help me work on this area.
3. This was a really great presentation, Skylar! You made it really easy to follow and I found everything to be extremely effective. You might could have added more visuals that show us some examples or explanations, but you did such a great job, I don't think that they were necessary. Thanks for putting in so much effort and breaking this down for us!
