Girls-Only Youth Hub

Open to young women aged 11-18 who would like to:

• Make a difference in their community

• Learn leadership skills

• Meet new friends and have fun

• Have their voice heard

• Learn something new

Every week from 6.30-8pm in W13 starting 21^st January 2025. Share the attached flier with young people and encourage them to go along.

The Refresh project a qualified professional who can offer support through free and confidential 1:1 sessions for up to 16 weeks.  The aim of the sessions are to allow users to be heard and to explore how to feel empowered to make changes.  Find out how to access support for families and share the flier here.

Sessions include a free family meal prepared together, friendly advice, and time for parents to recharge while children enjoy supervised play.

Booking is required and there are dates through to March 2026. 

The sessions are run by Log Cabin but families without children with SEND are also able to attend if they meet the eligibility criteria which can be found on the flier.

The Crisis Support programme from Log Cabin is also open to all families (including without SEND children) as long as they meet one of the criteria.

Let’s Ride Southall is part of the Let’s Go Southall, Ealing Council and Sport England funded programme. We are the biggest community cycling project in London and aim to make a markable impact to travel patterns, transforming Southall into a sustainable, healthy and environment-friendly place.

Individuals and families who sign-up to our cycle training and join the Southall movement to get residents healthier (see eligibility criteria on website), will be able to take part in our giveaway of up to 2,500 adult and children’s bicycles. This will consist approximately of a mixture of 1500 brand new bicycles and 1000 fully repaired and recycled second-hand bicycles. We value inclusivity highly at Let’s Ride Southall and want all individuals to travel sustainably, therefore we will also provide 35 bespoke bicycles for those with disabilities.

 Run by Asian Community Concern every Friday 4-6pm @ Havelock Community Centre

A chance to unravel the mystery of the teenager; this session will cover emotional development through childhood & adolescence, how to support your teen with their mental wellbeing, and how to better understand their behaviour

• Employability Support – Wednesdays 10am-12pm

• Youth Led Forum

• Basic cooking skills

• Kitchen safety and food hygiene

• Healthy eating and balanced meals

• Teamwork and confidence

• Trying new foods

• Learning to relax

• Relaxing the body and relieving tension

• Relaxing the mind and avoiding stress build up

• Using calming self talk to avoid anxiety
