The war was between the continental army and the british army.The british army had better weapons and skills.The Continental army knew the land and had General George Washington who would soon become president.In the same year General George Washington had to cross the cold,icy Delaware river.They eventually trapped the british and won the Revolutionary war for the colonists independence.Before this war many events happened before to cause it.The stamp act made it to where all people had to put stamps on their newspapers,magazines, and other paper.The tea act made it to where there was a large tax on british tea.So They Shouted "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION".The colonists LOVED tea so instead of getting taxed they just bought other tea from different places.this made the king of Britain mad he flew into a rage, so instead he just passed out a law so that the colonists had to buy their tea only.This only made the colonists even more mad. So the sons of liberty met and got a group to dress up as Mohawk indians to throw tea into the boston harbor. This made the king mad so he and the colonists got into a war now known as the Revolutionary War for independence.]]> 2017-02-27 16:42:03 UTC https://padlet.com/ferguson_emilys/ferg/wish/156472814 https://padlet.com/ferguson_emilys/ferg/wish/156521963 The revolutionary war began in the year of 1776.The war was about Americans wanting there freedom.There were two army's,the continental army,and the British army.The British had a better army in size,and weapons.But the continental army had a greater advantage,they new the land.The continental army had a fierce a fierce captain,George Washington.You might of heard this name before.You probably know him as are first president.But back to the war.One of the first things that led up to this war was the stamp act were they made the people pay extra for paper products.People got mad at that and so they protested and soon the government got rid of that law.But that wasn't the end,the government then put a tax on tea.And tea was the colonist FAVORITE drink.So yet again they protested by dumping tea into the harbor.They got on that boat by dressing up as indians,all part of Benjamins plan.So then the government got rid of that law and made the worst law of all.The intalorable act.The law allowed British soldiers to come in to any home and get free food and they could sleep anywhere they pleased.So then it began.The sons of liberty planned a war,that war was known as the revolutionary war.A man named Paul revere rode up and down warning the colonist that the British were coming.1 by land,and 2 by water.But soon revere was caught and captured so a other man rode for him.But then after a long fight we one and claimed America for are selfs!
🇺🇸🇺🇸But we did not know that there would be more wars after the revolution.Also George Washington was elected president!!

British soldiers fought because of the boycotts. The boycotts were making Great Britten no money. Before the boycotts they were peaceful until Great Britten decided to do the stamp act. Thats when the boycotts started. When the colonists were buying nothing and Great Britten wasn's getting that much money, that is when the tea act started. The tea act made all products on tea more money and as you expected the colonists weren't buying anything. Thats when the colonists dressed up as Indians and climbed on a ship and dumped tea into the Bosten Harbor. After the war broke was over Thomas Jefferson our third president signed The Declaration Of Independence.
