Atmosphere- The gaseous mass or envelope surrounding a celestial body, especially the one surrounding the earth, and retained by the celestial body's gravitational field.

Nitrogen -Nitrogen is a chemical element with symbol N and atomic number 7. Nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, and mostly inert diatomic gas at standard conditions, constituting 78.09% by volume of Earth's atmosphere

Oxygen - a colorless, odorless reactive gas, the chemical element of atomic number 8 and the life-supporting component of the air. Oxygen forms about 20 percent of the earth's atmosphere, and is the most abundant element in the earth's crust, mainly in the form of oxides, silicates, and carbonates.

Carbon Dioxide - Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring chemical compound composed of two oxygen atoms each contently double bonded to a single carbon atom.

Ozone Layer - The ozone layer is a layer in earths atmosphere which absorbs most of the Sun's UV radiation. It contains relatively high concentrations of ozone

Radiation -Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through some material or through space

Air Pressure-the force exerted by air, whether compressed or unconfined, on any surface in contact with it.

Altitude-The height of a thing above a reference level, especially above sea level or above the earth's surface.
Troposphere-The lowest region of the atmosphere between the earth's surface and the tropopause, characterized by decreasing temperature with increasing altitude.

Stratosphere-The region of the atmosphere above the troposphere and below the mesosphere.

Mesosphere-The portion of the atmosphere from about 30 to 80 kilometers (20 to 50 miles) above the earth's surface, characterized by temperatures that decrease from 10°C to -90°C (50°F to -130°F) with increasing altitude.
Thermosphere-The outermost shell of the atmosphere, between the mesosphere and outer space, where temperatures increase steadily with altitude.

Exosphere Low-The outermost region of a planet's atmosphere.
Pressure High-the exertion of force upon a surface by an object
Pressure-pushing down of air

Convection Currents-

the transfer of heat by the mass movement of heated particles into an area of cooler fluid

Barometer - Meteorology . any instrument that measures atmospheric pressure.

Aneroid Barometer- a device for measuring atmospheric pressure, often specially calibrated for use as a n altimeter, consisting of a box or chamber partially exhaust do fair, having an elastic top and a pointer to indicate the degree of compression of the top caused by the external air.

Convection -the vertical transport of atmospheric properties

Equilibrium-A condition in which all acting influences are canceled by others, resulting in a stable, balanced, or unchanging system.

Porous- Admitting the passage of gas or liquid through pores or interstices.

Runoff-Rainfall not absorbed by soil.

Groundwater-Water beneath the earth's surface, often between saturated soil and rock, that supplies wells and springs.

Transpiration-The act or process of transpiring, especially through the stomata of plant tissue or the pores of the skin

Water Cycle- The act or process of transpiring, especially through the stomata of plant tissue or the pores of the skin

Meteorologists- The science that deals with the phenomena of the atmosphere, especially weather and weather conditions.

Meteorology- The science that deals with the phenomena of the atmosphere, especially weather and weather conditions
Cirrocumulus-A high-altitude cloud composed of a series of small, regularly arranged cloudlets in the form of ripples or grains.

Cirrus- A high-altitude cloud composed of narrow bands or patches of thin, generally white, fleecy parts

Altocumulus-A cloud formation of rounded, fleecy, white or gray masses.

Altostratus-An extended cloud formation of bluish or gray sheets or layers.

Cumulonimbus -An extremely dense, vertically developed cumulus with a relatively hazy outline and a glaciated top extending to great heights, usually producing heavy rains, thunderstorms, or hailstorms

Stratocumulus-A low-lying cloud formation occurring in extensive horizontal layers with rounded summits.

Stratus- A low-altitude cloud formation consisting of a horizontal layer of gray clouds

Cumulus

High Pressure System

Low Pressure System

Thunderstorms

Hurricanes

Tornadoes

Cold Fronts

Blizzards

Accumulation
Evaporation
