         <description><![CDATA[<p>Did you know, that in the 1700's,</p><p>Thailand was known as Siam? Well,</p><p>now you do! In 2011 Yingluk Shinawatra</p><p>was elected as Thailand's FIRST EVER, </p><p>female Prime minister! Her older brother</p><p>Thaksin Shinawatra was also elected as</p><p> Prime minister in the year of 2001, however,</p><p>when he approached the Muslims in the south</p><p>to help, he was criticized heavily afterwards.</p><p>In order to try and maintain his control, he tried to</p><p>call a snap election in April 2006, but parties who</p><p>meant to oppose him, boycotted the polls.          <description><![CDATA[<p>In Thailand, the majority of languages</p><p>spoken, is Lao and Thai. When speaking of the language, you are to say "Thai" instead of Thailand.&nbsp;Pronouncing some words in different tones, it can give the word a different meaning.&nbsp;For example, the Thai word "Cou" can be used to ways. Your hands only go higher</p><p>when addressing royalty or the Buddhist</p><p>monks.
