To inform, both men believe in nonviolent protests or campaigning. To go further in detail, Chance the Rapper did an anti-violence campaign in Chicago that stopped gun violence for 42 hours (Chance the Rapper Activist). Similarly, Dr. Martin Luther King held a peaceful protest down Washington St. to try and overturn segregation in their society (Martin Luther Kings Peaceful Protests). These two activists have or continue to try and make our world less toxic with hatred.
Additionally,

First things first, MLK and Chance the Rapper are alike by positive influence. To enumerate, Chance was from Southside Chicago where a lot of shootings happen, when Chance and his dad started the "#SaveChicago" campaign (Biography on "Chance the Rapper"). This shows me Chance was someone who wanted unity and peace due to starting a campaign that influenced citizens not to shoot other people. Similarly, Martin Luther King Jr. also protested for what he believed in which was equality for all Americans, white and black (I Have a Dream...). As can be seen, Chance the Rapper and Martin Luther King Jr. served as a inspirational leader to their followers. They both fought for what they wanted for America.

Secondly, MLK and Chance are different due to their hardships in early life. To be exact, Martin Luther King Jr.s grandma died when he was twelve years old, when the author states, "Distraught at the news, young Martin jumped from a second story window at the family home, allegedly committing suicide" (MLK Biography). This evidence signifies it doesn't matter who you are, you will face a hardship in life that will impact you in a certain way. Furthermore, Chance was suspended from school for ten days due to drug use (Biography on "Chance the Rapper). I can conclude chance was faced with a difficult challenge but instead of letting the suspension get to him he wrote an album called "10 days". Given these points, MLK and Chance were impacted by each hardship a different way, MLK took a negative way in life and Chance took a positive turn.

To be exact, chance the rapper made the most violent city in all of America, Chicago, go a whole forty two hours with no shootings(biography of "chance the rapper). This shows chance impacting our country because he saved many lived and many families from grief and even death. likewise martin luther king junior was a civil rights leader and led minorities to stand against segregation.
