2)First create a document  8x8 with 300 resolution.
Create grid marks 4x4 using the rule. To make it more precise use New Guide.
Chose an image. Drag it to photoshop. And using the crop tool, crop it to 1x1 square.
Then edit the size with 4 " by 4" with 300 resolution
Drag it to the New document 
Then begin start to duplicate the original one. As it being duplicate the image it will also need to moved by using the transform tool. Repeat the steps with 2" by 2" and 1" by 1"  .
3) I really liked this project fro the reason It helped to know how to make tessellation.
4) What I struggle the most was choosing a good part of the image to work with
