Chunk 1: Judaism is a monotheistic religion. The Jews believe that they were chosen by God to show others the correct way to live and keep his law holy. Chunk 2: The Talmud and the Torah are the sacred texts of Judaism. One is for jewish law (the Talmud), the other is the jewish bible (the Torah). Chunk 3: Moses and Abraham are significant figures in Judaism. Moses led the Jews out of slavery and received the Torah. Abraham is the father of generations. Chunk 4: Conservative (change), liberal (modernity & judaism), reformed (change), and orthodox (strict) Judaism are groups within the religion (Judaism). Chunk 5: The Jews go to the synagouges on the sabbath day to pray and worship. The services are led by rabbis. "Kosher" food are good to eat while food that isn't "kosher" is bad. Chunk 6: The Feast of Passover is the way the Jews commerate the time Moses led the Israelites out of egypt. The Israelites were enslaved for 210 years. The Ten Plagues contributed to their freedom. Chunk 7: Rosh Hashanah is a festivel where the Jews commerate the creation of the world. The Jews believe that God judges their deeds to determine what their fate will be in the new year.
