I started reading the Stink books at about 1st or 2nd grade. These books influenced me in which introducing me to comedy books. This Stink story is the first of 10. This book is about Stink, the shortest kid in the entire school. When he finds out he's growing, he's determined to find out how to get even taller. I found this relatable because I was usually the shortest in everything I did.

Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss

Being one of the first books my parents ever read to me, Green Eggs and Ham will always be special to me. I loved this book because of the way Dr. Seuss wrote it. Just like any Dr. Seuss book, it was filled with rhymes and made up words. This type of writing had me laughing at every page. Even though I read this at such a young age, this book has stayed with me ever since.

The Magic Tree House books combined fantasy with historical fiction. This combination of genres was what I loved about Magic Tree House novels. One of my favorite things about these books was how Jack and Annie time traveled. Although the stories were fiction, these books often included real facts about the time periods Jack and Annie traveled to which I found very interesting.

The Harry Potter books are probably my favorite fantasy series of all time. I loved the diverse personalities of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Although very different, they became great friends throughout the series and stayed together through thick and thin. I also found their fantastic adventures very interesting. Through their teamwork and cooperation, they did the impossible.

The suspenseful, thrilling, action-packed Alex Rider series is the reason I love it so much. Alex Rider, one of my favorite protagonists, is very determined. Although he's just a young spy, he doesn't let anything get in the way of completing the mission. Alex's perseverance helped him defeat some of the world's most dangerous people and organizations. This influenced me to be hardworking and persistent in school, such as Alex Rider was.

August Pullman is currently my favorite realistic fiction protagonist. Auggie is a 10 year old boy who has a facial defect. He's been home schooled all his life, but in 5th grade, his parents decide he should go to a real school. What makes me love Auggie so much is how he copes with his first year in a public school. He's bullied and left out because of his appearance. But he stays strong and friendly, even when most people are mean to him.
