I think the shading with watercolor pencils on the blazer worked the best. It created a very smooth and pleasant texture that looks realistic and also charming in a way. According to Josiah it looked like "Computer art."
2. Color scheme
I decided to go with a complementary color scheme by contrasting crimson red and red-orange with dark blue. Why did I choose such colors? Crimson is my favorite color and dark blue was my favorite color. I also think it goes well with the context at hand.
3. Contour line
This is, in fact, a single continuous line in many places. I think I started the line at the blazer and you can see that I ended the line at the top where it is shown clearly. I also went over it with sharpie, which sadly was not a continuous line.
4. Effort level
Art to me is not very difficult, and I found this piece to flow very well. I executed most steps nicely and I was proud of the result in the end. I always take a chill and calm attitude to art as I find that being stressed decreases the end product's quality. Overall, it's kind of hard to rate how much effort I put into it as it felt kind of like playing a game or listening to music... but I would say I did indeed try. So did use effort? My painting does show contour line, although the lines in my hair were broken lines. I would say my effort level was 9.5/10 because I didn’t chat much and was focused almost all the time. I started with a warm colour scheme (pink and yellow) but I darker the pink to more of a magenta making it more of a complementary colour scheme. I think it does show contour line well especially in the hair because I feel like in this there is some good motion in the hair.
