SMART GOAL:
Specific goal; I want to be running 2 to 3 times a week consistently by the end of May and the start of June this year. Measurable; I will measure my progress by checking my body fat content as I’m going to show proof of what running does for me losing weight throughout my goal. Attainable; I can attain my goal by making a calendar for when I go out each weak to run/jog. Relevance; this goal is relevant to me just due to the number of times I’ve tried something like this and it never ended up working in the long term. Time-Based; I plan on having this goal done by the end of May, early June.

I haven't gotten too far with my goal, I've done a lot of walking last week and I tried organizing everything I have on a calendar. But that's about as far as I got due to all the projects that I've been super busy with. Due to it being my last semester it's even busier than usual, it was just too hectic last week.

I don't think I necessarily need to make a change with what I have, if there is a flaw I'd love to get feedback. What keeps me going towards my goal is just the amount of confidence I get knowing that I'll want to run when I get started. As well as how everyone around me encourages me as I go on any kind of weight loss journey.

I haven't made too much progress in my goal to be running 2 to 3 times a week. I've been able to go out a lot more and walk around a lot more then usual though. So that's more progress than I thought I'd make in the couple week span. So the next step is just turning those walks into runs in my neighborhood. My main flaw is just time and event management, as well as following my calender. But the solution is just to give more time to myself and my health instead of going out with my friends, even though I really want to see them. Sometimes you just have to be selfish in order to get to the place you want to be and this is one of those times.

I'm still at the same point as I was in Journal 7 to be completely honest. Everything has gotten busier since break and still a lot of staying up 24 hours to finish projects. I just can't see a real way of fitting this in right at this second of college. Hopefully I can get some more ideas and I'm really not trying to make excuses just Graphic Design is a lot of work. But I've been eating pretty well besides that, just making egg sandwiches in the morning. As well as other low carb options during the day to still care about my weight and personal health. I'm actually doing really well mentally as well which a lot of people can't say which I'm thankful for.

Since I wasn’t able to get my running to be successful this semester, I’ve been able to atleast shake some of my bad eating habits. For example if I was working on a design project over night I’d normally grab a snack or something sugary I didn’t need obviously. I ended up taking those midnight snacks and replacing them with water or coffee (coffee that doesn’t have crap tons of sugar) and the occasional red bull if I need to really be up late to do a project, but that’s the worst it has gotten. Also I have just improved what I’ve been eating since the start of the year while I was trying to get out and run, I didn’t take any measurements but I can tell I can fit in some of my clothes a lot better.
