He devaloped a love for drawing at a very young young age , learning basic Cartooning skills from his father and from the popular culture around him , such as Dr Seuss and walt disney. He graduated from high school in 1976 and enrolled in Ivy school of Proffesional art in Pittsburgh , but he dropped out after two semester in school . While he is still in Pittsburgh he continued to study and worked on his own and in 1978 he had a solo exhibition of his work at the pittsburgh Arts and Crafts centre. unfortumately Keith Haring died of AIDS at age 31 on February 16 1990 . A memorial service was helped on May 14 1990 at the Cathedral of St. John the divin in NYC , with over 1000 people in attendance. Since his death , Keith haring has been the subject of several international retrospective the word of Keith Haring can be seen today in the exhibition can collections of major museums around the world .
