For the purpose of this assignment, I will be a principal at an elementary school hosting a training day for my teaching staff. Since I am a principal, I will have years of teaching experience and my master's in educational administration. My teaching staff is a wide variety of ages, cultures, genders, and years of experience. Because of this, I will use these three training methods:
-Audiovisual Technique
- Simulations
-Team Training

https://learn-us-east-1-prod-fleet02-xythos.content.blackboardcdn.com

- Audiovisual training includes overheads, slides, and videos.
- Videos are a way to make lectures come to life so that the audience can see real-life examples.
- Videos are a more inclusive part of this training method since there are lots of visual learners out there.
- This is a great resource to use for modeling preferred behaviors.
- A negative aspect is that there is usually too much content being taught in a short amount of time.
- There is typically an overuse of music or humor, which can make the trainee become lost or confused.

In my position, I would use this to train my teachers in classroom management. Although I understand that my teachers should know how to do this, trainings like this provide insight and different types of ways to manage a classroom if someone's strategy isn't working. Teacher trainings are pretty lenient in most areas and provide new tips and tricks for them to use in the classroom.

https://www.avtav.com/

- Simulations represent real-life situations and how to adhere to those issues properly.
- Simulators can be used to teach hands-on skills.
- They offer corrective feedback on what the trainee might have done wrong.
- Negatively, simulators can be expensive and can malfunction.
- Older trainees may not have the technical skills required to use simulators, so they might find it more challenging to learn from this method.

I would use this method to train my teachers in CPR. This is such a crucial skill to have not only in school scenarios but in everyday life. A paramedic would come in and have CPR mannequins to simulate what to do if a child began choking or stopped breathing. This being such an important training, simulators are the best approach to teaching a skill as crucial as CPR.

https://www.learninglight.com

- Team Training is used to improve team effectiveness.
- This method provides a chance for members' interpersonal interactions - getting to know the people they work with.
- Team Training helps trainees identify common ground and their mutual goals in the profession.
- Negatively, team members could be paired up and not have similar beliefs and goals, ultimately not benefitting from the training.
- This training method is difficult to use in career fields where employees work independently.

Using this training in a school setting would be extremely beneficial due to the fact of teachers have to collaborate year-round. As a principal, I would use this training method to train my teachers in curriculum alignment. This would help teachers learn more about what their peer teachers are doing in their classrooms and how they can benefit from that.

https://za.pearson.com

In the Team Training method, an ethical dilemma that could come up is two or more team members disagreeing on social, political, or religious views. In a training scenario in a school, social inequity in the classroom could become an ethical dilemma. The teaching field has to be very tedious when teaching harder concepts like this to students, so if a trainee has unethical opinions about how to approach this in a classroom setting, it could be detrimental to the students, staff, parents, and the employee themself.

https://caul-cbua.pressbooks.pub

I would encourage him/her to attend the training to see if they believe it is fit for the staff.

I would implement these training resources into my school by having the teachers first fill out a questionnaire about their level of comfortability using each resource. I would encourage them to be truthful so that I could make any changes necessary. Doing this will help both my teachers and me get the absolute most out of the trainings. When we have reached a common ground where everyone is comfortable with the resources being used, the training will become useful for everyone.

bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com
