Welcome to Padlet!

Padlet is a virtual bulletin board. We are going to use it to introduce ourselves (name, building, subject area), and to share something you hope to learn in this class. To begin sharing, simply double-click anywhere on the page or click the plus sign located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

My goals for this course:

1. Make you feel comfortable using the Chromebooks and confident enough to have your students begin using them in September.

2. Help you to understand how to use Google Drive and learn how Google Classroom can streamlines its use with students.

3. Expose you to a variety of tools that can help meet the diverse learning needs of all your students.

4. Introduce you to the SAMR model and help you to begin to integrate technology based on the principles developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura.

5. Help you realize that while technology can be completely overwhelming, you are capable of learning, unlearning and relearning!

I would like to explore the "flipped classroom" model. I would hope to someday use heart rate monitors within my classes and the Chromebook would be a way for students to track their heart rates.
