Hello! My name is Dr. Efraín Rivera-Serrano (but students call me "Dr. E") and my pronouns are he/him/his. I am originally from Puerto Rico, but have lived in NC for over 15 years. I am a cell biologist and microbiologist by training, and my expertise is in how cells respond to viral infections and how viruses evolve at the biochemical level. In my spare time, I am a runner and proud dad of six dogs.
