We have to do multiple things like acts and go through wars and boycott. For example the sugar act, the British wanted to raise prices on cheap objects on sugar and molasses. This triggered the colonist so they decided to boycott. The British decided to do this because they needed money to pay off their debts from the war. The colonist needed these things.
