Eventually, feeling ready for something new and exciting, Janice got ready to launch ActOne Group. Janice had $900 in her back pocket, and upon presenting the concept of her business to her mom, she received another $600. Her total startup costs rallied at $1500. Hiring her employees also ties into Capital - recruitment wasn't an issue yet finding jobs for people was. She knew people (through networking) that were looking to hire and helped them fill the positions through her company. The opportunity came to her - she could now cater to people from the heart of California. It was a true blessing. Her company adapted to human-friendly technology. Now, in regard to creating a core moral for ActOne Group, it was difficult at first. She ultimately settled on "understanding the power of the interviews". Interviews are so crucial to landing any position, and one that goes well can secure someone's job. Her market was any company that needed a position filled. Under the pressure, she was still able to reach out and recruit many wonderful employees who provide employment, interview help and exposure, and other services. For the labor aspect, she required that her employees either had three promotions or had worked in a strong company for three years. She wanted to see the growth in her employees. In 2007, she had earned a revenue of well over half a billion dollars, and decided to merge with her husband’s business- AppleOne.
