Albert Camus had an idea where he wrote that man feels an stranger in his own world, the theatre of the absurd is the contrast of separation between the actor and his scenary. this may help the audience to feel life as meaningless so you don't feel depressed.

 when we speak and too improvise and speak more clearly and fast.

For me this play challenges the audience to think outside their squares of life especially because this play was written  after the second war so it was needed to distract the minds of all the society and to reflect on how the society is working and to add a little humor to this tragedy.

Everything in the world makes sense and has a point of being but suddenly Beckett breaks this idea and puts a non meaningful life in his play. Actions happening but with now purpose. 

There are 4 characters and each one of them are lost in their own reality, two of them Estragon and Vladimir seem to be crazy because they are lost in time with no notion of it and their purpose of living is to wait for a person they haven't met yet and he never comes to the meeting.

On the other hand there are two other characters Pozzo and Lucky.  Pozzo is represented as a man of power and money searching always to be superior and respected and wanting the aprovance of all the people. This character has lucky as a slave, that is treated badly as an infiriro to Pozzo and their is a breaking point when lucky starts to talk and talk as if he was keeping his breath for a lot of years and suddenly he was sinking and needed to explote. I think this same idea happened to the people during war and becket does the representation very well. 

 

 

The significance of this play is more relevant to the audience than to anyone else. It is planned to be  a delicate theme of the meaning of life to laugh about but also to feel pity and to be sad about. The meaning of the lives of the characters of the play are based on how they used their time and how they interact with it within the play. The characters in the play dont know the time in which they are living and they seem to be lost in it, not remembering nor the past or the future, just living in a literal present. The lives of these characters persist for only one purpose; waiting for Godot and this only idea without knowing why they need to wait or who Godot is is a faith of life to these characters, it seems to be the only purpose of their existence.

Like time, other themes like death are represented without the seriousness they are about, the characters are dealing with  death as if it didn't have any importance, and it was a completely innocent and normal act. The play is following a routine of actions affected by the memory repeating it constantly. Death is a main resolution for all problems in this routine, when Vladimir and Estragon are bored  they find it fun to hang themselves and be dead as if it was like eating a hamburger.

The last technique I also found very helpful especially by reading Beckett's play is the use of energy in our bodies and tones. This is important because each situation with a specific emotion need to have a tone which transmit this. For example when there is tension the tone needs to be maybe more laughter and strong than if there is sadness it needs to be more slow and light.
